Woodlands Announces Program for Charities

May 15, 2013 - (PLAINS TOWNSHIP, Pa.) – The Woodlands Inn announced today that it is accepting applications for its “SKYY Vu Charity Events” program. Nonprofit and membership organizations and associations may participate. 


The program combines best practices in event fundraising with bonuses for the organization, creating meaningful opportunities to engage constituents and raise much needed funds. Each nonprofit is given a two-to-four-hour period to host a reception at the newly renovated SKYY Vu Deck Bar with a rain location of The Woodlands Executive Lounge.

The Woodlands is donating the use of the facility, sound equipment, and 50% of the bar net profits.  Additional fundraising opportunities include celebrity bartenders, silent auction, sponsorship and seat/table sales.

“Nonprofits that hit pre-defined attendance goals will receive bonuses, including free food, credits for a future event, and additional donations,” said Woodlands General Manager Rick Kornfeld. “It’s very exciting that an organization participating in this program could raise a thousand dollars (or more) in one day.”

Charity Events may be held on Sundays through Thursdays, now through October, based on availability.
